Taste the world in the outer boroughs
New York is a global city with many internationals bringing their food and traditions. If you go beyond the famous bagels and pizza, you might try food from all over the world in New York. Take a tour to the outer neighborhoods and order some Ethiopian cuisine at Bushwick’s Bunna Café. Alternatively, check out the Yemen Café in Brooklyn Heights. If you prefer staying in Manhattan, don’t miss out on a night at Old Tbilisi Garden, where you can try some Georgian food.
Hipster vibes in Williamsburg
Ready for some unconventional tourist attractions, differing from the usual must-see city tours? Williamsburg, Brooklyn offers quirky vintage markets like Bird, as well as walk tours along East River. The local cocktail bars are also a great way to spend the night. One thing is sure – there’s plenty of things to do in this trendy neighborhood.
Bushwick’s experimental performing arts
How about an experimental music performance at a DIY venue at Bushwick? It’s one of New York’s must-go quirky attractions. Famous with its nightlife scene, Bushwick offers you a chance to attend peculiar burlesque performances and movement showcases, among other cool things to do. Enjoy it to the fullest.
African American culture in Harlem
Where to next? Take a tour, exploring African American culture from the 20th century in Harlem, New York. This neighborhood is home to various artists and writers. Is there anything better to do than devouring a tasty brunch, consisting of waffles and chicken and accompanied by jazz music? For an authentic African experience, pay the Malcolm Shabazz Harlem market a visit. It’s a real attraction with its stalls selling African crafts and textiles.
Korean BBQ in Koreatown
Now we head to New York’s Koreatown, which is located not far from 5th Avenue. What’s the best thing to do there? Eat. The area is full of Michelin starred restaurants, karaoke clubs, and various stores. For a tasty Korean barbecue and fancy cocktails, head to one of the numerous restaurants in the district. Broadway is among New York’s symbolic experiences and a must-see attraction on its own. Enjoy a quirky theatrical performance in one of the numerous professional theatres located in Manhattan, New York City.
